Recruitment management app for car dealerships
Web app for a car dealership network, used to manage the recruitment process internally.
Context
I took part in this project as a web developer during a company internship. The goal was to build a web app for a car dealership network to manage the recruitment process internally. The app had to let the various stakeholders (managers, HR, IT) track and manage the onboarding of new employees.
Architecture
The app was built using the MODX CMS, with components already built by the company to speed up development. The backend was built in PHP, with a MariaDB database for persistence. This stack has the advantage of guaranteeing data sovereignty, since the app is hosted on the company's own servers and does not depend on external libraries.
Contributions & Results
I mainly contributed to the backend of the application, in particular managing permissions for the different stakeholders. I also set up an integration with the Lucca HRIS to automate user account creation, significantly reducing manual entry for HR teams. This project taught me to work within the constraints and requirements of a company and client in a professional setting.
